Teens' Ministries

Our passion is to teach our youth how learn how to love and exalt Christ in all areas of their lives. Also, since our youth are also our fellow servants and workers for the gospel, we want to provide opportunities to serve God even now.

Our teen ministries are intended to be a place where teens have opportunities to preach the good news (in both word and deed), serve others, practice studying the Word of God, love one another, pray for the church, sharpen one another, discuss what it means to honor God in our culture, and learn how to walk with God.

Let no one look down on your youthfulness, but rather in speech, conduct, love, faith and purity, show yourself an example of those who believe. ~1 Timothy 4:12

Diffusion

Diffusion is the teen ministry of Calvary Baptist Church!

"Diffusion" comes from the Latin, "diffusus," meaning to reflect or to transmit (light). It is a word used many times by the Puritans for 'reflecting' God's glory in the Christian life. From this meaning, Diffusion exists to 'reflect' the supreme glory of God's worth through Jesus Christ in love and good deeds for the edification of the Church and the salvation of the community.

Since part of our vision is to 'transmit' the light of the glory of God in the face of Christ through our lives, we make opportunities to feed and minister to the poor in local soup kitchens and to creatively innovate evangelistic events in the community.

Teen Sunday School

Meets in the back building during the 9:30 am Sunday school hour!

Nursing Home Ministry

The teens are the core contributors for the Nursing Home ministry, on the 4th Sunday afternoon each month. We set up a mini-church where we lead worship, give a short message, and then spend some time ministering to the residents 1-on-1. Following their participation in the Nursing Home ministry, the teens then meet at a host home for some fun, fellowship, and pizza!
Committed to verse-by-verse expository preaching, the Doctrines of Grace. Practicing God-centered worship.
