Dwayne spent much of his childhood in Central Jersey. Though Dwayne had thought he was saved from childhood, he really came to know Christ after college while reading through the Bible for himself. God showed Dwayne that his religion was void of a true relationship with the Lord and Savior; Dwayne, therefore, repented and believed.
Dwayne has Computer Science degrees from Rutgers University and the University of Michigan. He worked for the same company for over thirty years as a Software Quality Assurance Engineer in Piscataway, NJ.
Dwayne and his wife, Judy, live in Somerset, NJ, and have three adult children and three grandchildren. Dwayne enjoys the blessings of being a grandparent, eating his wife’s cooking, reading Christian literature, perusing news headlines, gardening, watching edifying videos with his wife/family, studying theology, and opening his home for hospitality.
Eager to see the gospel transform lives, Dwayne often looks for opportunities to evangelize, even if it is just handing out a tract. Dwayne also has a great love for the church and its people. His passion in the church is two-fold: 1) striving to help ensure that every visitor God brings to Calvary feels welcomed, and 2) focused on promoting biblical educational development, so that the church’s people might have their minds transformed to understand God’s will as revealed in His Word. Then, instead of being tossed to and fro by every wind of doctrine, they will know what is true and how to live to please God in all aspects of their lives (Ephesians 4:14).
Sherrian has been a member of Calvary since 2011 and has served on the church’s administrative staff since 2017. In addition to her job responsibilities, she is also active in the worship team and women’s ministry.
Sherrian was blessed to grow up in a Christian home and came to Christ in her childhood. She currently lives with her husband, Khaleef. Sherrian enjoys reading, working on music with Khaleef, and anything else that allows her to be creative.
Sherrian has always had a heart for women and young adults. She hopes to see the body at Calvary grow in love for Christ and each other as they use their gifts in building the kingdom.
Lugy has come to our church since 1997 and has served part-time as our church custodian since 2013. We have her and her family’s hard work to thank for a clean and well-organized church every Sunday!
Lugy has known the Lord since 1992. She and her husband Fred have eight children. In her spare time, she loves to read and cook. Her sincere hope is to see others come to know her savior Jesus Christ as she has.
